Demi Vollering has officially joined the French WorldTour team FDJ-SUEZ, signing a two-year contract that will begin in 2025 and run until the end of the 2026 season. Vollering, who is celebrated as one of the best riders in the general classification (GC), will serve as a co-leader alongside teammates Évita Muzic and Juliette Labous.

From the moment she met the FDJ-SUEZ team, Vollering felt an instant connection. “I couldn’t get the smile off my face,” she shared. “I’m happy to embark on this adventure and rediscover myself in this team. I’ve always admired the collective fighting spirit and attacking mentality of FDJ-SUEZ during races. We’re going to have a great team, and I believe that amazing things await us.”
Stephen Delcourt, the FDJ-SUEZ general manager, confirmed the contract details, explaining that they deliberately chose not to announce the agreement earlier out of respect for Vollering’s current team, SD Worx-Protime. “It was essential for Demi to focus on her season goals,” Delcourt stated.

Vollering’s move comes on the heels of rumors suggesting that she received a €1 million offer to leave SD Worx-Protime at the end of 2024. While Delcourt refrained from disclosing her exact salary, he acknowledged that Vollering would not be earning the reported €1 million, though other teams might have had that budget.
Delcourt revealed that the discussions with Vollering began after the announcement of Lotte Kopecky’s contract extension with SD Worx. Feeling motivated after their first meet, Delcourt praised Vollering’s values and ethics. “She wanted a collaborative environment where she could thrive alongside other talented riders,” he said.
Vollering’s impressive career includes significant victories such as the 2023 Tour de France Femmes, La Vuelta Femenina, and the Ardennes triple, solidifying her reputation in the sport. At FDJ-SUEZ, she joins Muzic, who placed fourth overall at the Tour de France Femmes this year, and Labous, another exciting new addition.
With Vollering’s arrival, FDJ-SUEZ aims to challenge other elite teams like SD Worx and Visma-Lease a Bike. Delcourt expressed confidence that the team, now equipped with three strong GC leaders, will be among the best in women’s cycling.
The signing of Vollering completes FDJ-SUEZ’s recruitment for the 2025 season, marking a pivotal moment for the team as they prepare to take on the upcoming challenges in the cycling world.
